An editorial cites recent census data that shows Michigan dropping to 33rd nationally in the share of population between ages 18-24, which is a big issue for those trying to plot the future of the state. An analysis of census data by Kurt Metzger, director of the Michigan Metropolitan Information Center, is also provided in the piece.
